Job summary

Ingersoll Rand is seeking an Senior Application Engineer to provide expert engineering support for compressed air purification and gas generation systems. You will size equipment, perform dew point calculations, and develop technical proposals for air treatment installations.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and 5+ years in application engineering, with strong CAD and communication skills for customer meetings and internal collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related technical field.
• 5+ years of experience in application engineering or technical support within industrial air treatment or related equipment.
• Experience with ISO 8573.1, NFPA, OSHA and air quality standards is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert-level application guidance on compressed air and gas treatment solutions.
• Select and size air dryers, filtration, and gas generation equipment based on customer conditions.
• Review drawings, P&IDs, and specifications to ensure compliance and identify risks.
• Prepare detailed technical proposals and system schematics.
• Collaborate with Product Management and Engineering to ensure feasibility of configurations.
