Job summary

Ingersoll Rand is seeking a Senior Application Engineer to provide engineering expertise in compressed air purification and gas generation systems. You will support customers, sales teams, and channel partners with design, sizing, and technical proposals, mentoring junior engineers and improving tools.

The role emphasizes collaboration with Product Management, Engineering, and Operations to ensure feasible, compliant configurations and successful bids.

Qualifications

• Provide expert-level guidance on compressed air and gas treatment solutions.
• Review drawings, P&IDs, and customer specs to ensure compliance.
• Prepare detailed technical proposals and system schematics.
• Develop system layouts including dryers, filters, and piping.
• Perform dew point, purge air, and pressure drop calculations.
• Mentor junior engineers and support NPI initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Support field service with troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
• Deliver training to distributors, internal teams, and customers on air treatment technologies.
• Collaborate with Sales, Product Engineering, Manufacturing, Service, and Quality to support bids.
• Maintain sizing tools, configurators, and engineering templates.
• Participate in customer meetings, technical workshops, and on-site assessments.
