Job summary

Ingersoll Rand seeks a Senior Application Engineer in Gainesville, FL to provide expert engineering support for air treatment and gas generation systems. You will sizing, design, and propose solutions, reviewing drawings and interfacing with customers, sales, and field teams.

You will collaborate on product feasibility, mentor junior staff, and help improve sizing tools and technical documents while ensuring compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering required.
• 5+ years of experience in application engineering or technical support in industrial air treatment or related equipment.
• Strong CAD capability and familiarity with ISO/industry standards preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert guidance on compressed air and gas treatment solutions and sizing.
• Prepare technical proposals, system schematics, and configurations.
• Collaborate with sales, product engineering, and manufacturing to ensure feasible designs.
• Conduct dew point, pressure drop, and thermal calculations; assist with field troubleshooting.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
