Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a Senior Air Quality Project Manager to join our Earth & Environment team. This role supports air permitting and compliance projects across several Texas offices including Houston, Dallas, and Austin, with opportunities to work on large-scale environmental programs for clients in utilities, manufacturing, and government sectors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Environmental Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years’ air permitting and compliance experience.
• Strong interpersonal and client communication abilities.
• Experience interpreting State and Federal air quality regulations.
• Willingness to travel up to 20%.
• Valid state driver’s license.
• Experience with electric generation and/or cement manufacturing air programs (Texas preferred).
• Familiarity with air dispersion modeling.
• Ability to mentor staff and support business development.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Prepare proposals for air quality permitting and environmental support projects.
• Manage projects related to complex air quality permitting and compliance services.
• Develop strategies for compliance with State and Federal regulations.
• Interface with State agencies and EPA on behalf of clients.
• Collaborate with colleagues, consultants, and legal teams to support air quality needs.
• Advise clients on regulatory changes and issues.
• Participate in public meetings and hearings.
• Calculate emissions and evaluate control technologies.
• Contribute to QA/QC of technical work.
• Mentor and develop WSP staff.
• Support business development via client engagement, conferences, etc.
• Contribute to internal marketing materials and publish technical articles.
