Job summary

ckassociates is seeking a Senior Environmental Air Quality Consultant for our office in The Woodlands, TX. You will provide strategic leadership on air quality assessments for a diverse client portfolio and oversee complex permitting and compliance projects.

The role requires deep knowledge of air quality regulations, emission control technologies, and a proven track record in delivering technical expertise and client-focused solutions. Occasional travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in the air quality field, including senior project management experience.
• Expertise in air permitting and compliance (NSR, NNSR, PSD, NSPS).
• Knowledge of Texas air permitting regulations, production systems, and emissions inventory systems.
• Strong communication and technical writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership on air quality permitting and compliance projects and prepare reports.
• Manage project budgets, proposals, invoicing, cost overruns, and purchase orders.
• Support business development by pursuing opportunities with existing clients and proposing new ones to potential clients.
• Coordinate and write reports and correspondence using technical knowledge.
• Develop and maintain technical expertise on air quality regulatory and policy issues; mentor junior staff.
• Participate in industry workgroups and interface with regulatory agencies.
• Travel as needed to access client facilities.
