Job summary

Trinity Consultants, a market leader in environmental consulting, seeks a savvy and technically strong environmental professional to join Trinity’s growing team in Baton Rouge, LA. This role will provide leadership in technical knowledge, client service, business development, and staff development.

The successful candidate will lead project teams on permitting and compliance, manage projects to ensure timely, high-quality deliverables, and provide technical leadership on regulatory issues.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of environmental regulations affecting complex facilities (CAA, CWA, RCRA, EPCRA).
• 5+ years of environmental consulting or related industry experience with a focus on air quality permitting and compliance.
• Experience developing relationships to win projects and mentoring staff.

Responsibilities

• Lead project teams delivering environmental permitting and compliance projects.
• Manage projects to ensure timely, high-quality deliverables.
• Provide technical leadership on complex regulatory issues.
• Ensure work products meet ISO 9001 and client expectations.
• Develop target clients and win projects.
• Build long-term partnerships across energy, chemical manufacturing, and storage terminals.
• Maintain regulator relationships across jurisdictions.
• Participate in stakeholder forums and industry groups.
• Collaborate with client service managers for national clients.
• Develop junior staff on regulatory knowledge, analytics, and leadership.
• Contribute to corporate strategy through communication with management.
• Deliver high-quality technical work, including emission calculations and permit applications.
• Experience across multimedia environmental consulting is a plus; extensive air quality permitting and compliance experience is required.
