Job summary
Texas Commission on Environmental Quality in Austin, TX, is seeking an experienced Professional Engineer to join the Office of Air and the Air Permits Division. You will review complex permit applications, perform rigorous technical analyses, and prepare documents for public notices and approvals.

Qualifications
- Experience communicating, written and verbally, with senior leadership.
- Experience preparing and conducting presentations and training.
Responsibilities
- Review advanced/high-profile air permit applications and ensure high-quality work within timelines.
- Conduct comprehensive technical reviews: identify contaminants sources, apply federal/state requirements, review emission calculations, draft permit documents, and complete technical review summaries.
- Provide high-quality customer service to applicants, agency staff, other agencies, officials, stakeholders and the public about permitting requirements.
- Provide technical support for air permitting program policies and procedures for the team and agency.
- Lead and attend technical training for major/minor permit reviews; participate in meetings.
- Coordinate and manage special projects.
