Job summary

Five9 is seeking a Principal, Back-Office AI Transformation to lead hands-on delivery of AI automation in back-office functions. You will scope use cases, build or stand up automation, and prove value, with growth toward leading a team of engineers and process professionals.

You will drive the AI readiness diagnostic, deliver bounded pilots, and develop a blueprint and roadmap to scale successful pilots across finance, HR, legal, and IT.

Qualifications

• 15+ years in operations transformation, shared services, or internal strategy offices.
• Direct experience with back-office functions (Finance/Accounting, HR, Legal, IT, or Procurement).
• Experience running or contributing to a structured diagnostic and turning it into a fundable opportunity portfolio.
• Hands-on automation delivery from scoping through measured pilots.
• Experience partnering with internal tech or business-systems teams to stand up tooling.
• Strong quantitative skills for value measurement and evidence-based decisions.
• Experience in public company or SaaS/subscription environments.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end delivery of a bounded pilot in a priority back-office workflow.
• Differentiate pilot results from scaled benefits and document evidence.
• Translate pilot learnings into a roadmap for subsequent pilots and scale.
