Job summary

Vizient is seeking a Senior AI Tooling Engineer to own the end-to-end lifecycle of enterprise AI tooling platforms. You will implement, integrate, instrument, and produce analytics across Jellyfish, Amplitude, and future tools, partnering with product, engineering, data, and security teams.

The role emphasizes production readiness, data quality, cost awareness, and adoption metrics, with scope expanding beyond a single product as priorities evolve.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in a related field.
• Strong background in software, platform, or analytics engineering.
• Hands-on with enterprise SaaS, integrations, and tooling platforms.
• Experience with APIs, SDKs, event streams, data pipelines, and instrumentation.
• Strong SQL proficiency and data validation against source systems.
• Experience diagnosing complex platform and data-flow issues.
• Experience building metrics, dashboards, and analytics views.
• Ability to translate stakeholder needs into technical requirements.
• Experience working in a large-enterprise, cross-functional setting.

Responsibilities

• Own implementation, configuration, administration, and production readiness of enterprise AI tooling platforms.
• Design, implement, and support integrations between source systems and AI tooling platforms.
• Build and maintain APIs, SDKs, connectors, pipelines, event streams, automation, and synchronization workflows.
• Partner with product and engineering teams to onboard internal and customer-facing applications.
• Assess architecture and define integration, instrumentation, data, and event requirements.
• Develop event-tracking plans, taxonomies, properties, and instrumentation specs.
• Validate integrations, data completeness, and schema consistency.
• Troubleshoot platform, authentication, data-flow, and performance issues; perform root cause analysis.
• Translate objectives into measurable events, dashboards, analytics, and decision-support views.
• Develop analytics on engineering productivity, delivery flow, and usage metrics.
• Monitor platform usage, license utilization, data volume, cost, and health.
