Job summary

WebMD is seeking an AI & Systems Engineer to manage the enterprise IT stack and architect AI systems. The role blends traditional systems administration with hands-on AI engineering, ensuring secure, tightly integrated AI deployments across the organization.

The candidate will own MCP server infrastructure, manage connector ecosystems, and enforce governance and security controls while working in a hybrid environment.

Qualifications

• Experience across the complete infrastructure stack including network and OS.
• Strong Windows Server administration and lifecycle management.
• Automation scripting with PowerShell.
• DNS/DHCP administration and DNSSEC knowledge.
• Experience with backups and DR planning.
• Virtualization with VMware/Hyper-V.
• Security patch management across server estates.
• Data migration across cloud, hybrid, and on-prem environments.
• Ability to document complex maintenance with policy alignment.
• On-call responsiveness for critical alerts.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to corporate business units across the enterprise.
• Maintain back-end IT infrastructure including servers and storage.
• Perform Windows Server upgrades and lifecycle management.
• Manage security patches and DR/backup environments.
• Migrate data across cloud, hybrid, and on-premises environments.
• Administer Windows Server DNS and zone management.
• Build and maintain DR runbooks and failover plans.
• Document environments and create runbooks.
• Architect new IDF/MDF configurations and scale infrastructure.
• Collaborate on AI platform rollouts and governance.
• Stay current with AI security and MCP tooling practices.
