Job summary

Base-2 Solutions is seeking a Systems Engineer 3 to support AI-focused cloud and platform engineering efforts. This role applies systems engineering expertise to requirements analysis, system design, technical planning, documentation, and integration of new capabilities into ongoing operations, with emphasis on cloud architecture, AI/ML systems, security, and data lifecycle management.

The position requires active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph, US citizenship, and on-site work in Annapolis

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph is required.
• Cloud architecture, cloud engineering, or platform engineering experience (AWS preferred).
• Experience with AI/ML system design and implementation.
• High-level understanding of the AI lifecycle (development, training, inference, monitoring).
• Experience with ML pipeline development, model deployment, and DevOps/MLOps.
• Experience with system security and networking on classified systems.
• Experience with data engineering and data lifecycle management.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with varied stakeholder groups.

Responsibilities

• Analyze user requirements, concept of operations documents, and high-level system architectures to develop system requirements specifications.
• Analyze system requirements and lead design and development activities.
• Guide users in formulating requirements, advise on alternative approaches, and conduct feasibility studies.
• Provide technical leadership for the integration of requirements, design, and technology.
• Develop technical documentation and system design documentation.
• Interface with Government regarding system engineering considerations and issues.
• Maintain technical integrity of work and deliverables in systems engineering domain.
