Intel Corporation in the United States seeks a Senior AI Architect/Researcher to translate AI communication and memory bottlenecks into networking architecture and platform direction, working across research, architecture, silicon, software, and product teams.

The role focuses on AI systems communication at scale across xPUs, DPUs, IPUs, NICs, memory, and storage, turning research insights into actionable IP and software capabilities that influence roadmaps and product development.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a relevant STEM field with 5+ years of experience, or PhD with 2+ years.
• Experience with AI training and inference systems, including model architectures.
• Proficiency in C/C++ and Python for systems software.
• Experience leading cross-functional architecture teams.

Responsibilities

• Turn Workload Analysis into New IP: analyze AI workloads and translate findings into new IP and platform requirements.
• Architect AI-Scale Networking and Interconnect: define direction for data movement across xPU-to-xPU, NICs, and storage.
• Attack the Memory Wall and System-Level Bottlenecks: investigate data-movement bottlenecks and translate into architectural requirements.
• Set Roadmap and Lead Across Teams: shape multi-generation compute, memory, and interconnect roadmaps and align cross-functional teams.
