Job summary

Ajaia, an AI implementation consultancy, seeks a Senior AI Strategist to own client engagements from audit to deployed systems. You will direct forward deployed engineers and analysts, manage executive conversations, and articulate why metrics moved. On-site in New York with travel to client sites as engagements require.

Compensation ranges from $150,000 to $250,000 base, plus a performance bonus up to 100% of base salary. Prior production AI experience is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience guiding executive audiences and managing client engagements across AI initiatives.
• Ability to map business operations and identify opportunities for AI-driven improvements.
• Proven track record in delivering production-ready AI solutions.
• Strong communication and governance skills with C-suite stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred, track record valued over credential.

Responsibilities

• Own engagements end to end, scope, run, and ensure post-go-live outcomes.
• Conduct AI audits inside client operations by interviewing key stakeholders.
• Map the business process and establish baselines before improvements.
• Prioritize fixes and sequence with owners and dependencies.
• Define build specs for engineering partners and ensure alignment on outcomes.
• Lead forward deployed engineers and analysts on engagements.
• Present recommendations to executives and boards with clear tradeoffs.
• Design governance: data flow, approvals, and post-launch monitoring.
• Handle challenging client conversations and manage expectations.
• Grow accounts by identifying next problems and expanding scope.
