Job summary

The Cigna Group in Bloomfield, CT seeks an AI Strategy leader to identify, frame, validate, and prioritize AI opportunities that drive enterprise revenue and margin growth. You will partner with enterprise and SBU leaders to turn problems into investment theses, develop scoring, and shape portfolio decisions while upholding Responsible AI principles.

This is a strategic role, not a builder function, with collaboration across legal, compliance, and technology partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Typically 8+ years in strategy, product strategy, management consulting, business operations, finance, digital transformation, or related field in a large or regulated enterprise.
• Demonstrated experience framing business problems, writing investment cases, and guiding fund/sequence/stop decisions.
• Ability to evaluate value, adoption risk, implementation complexity, and total cost of ownership with technology partners.
• Working literacy in current AI capabilities and limitations to challenge weak use cases.
• Knowledge of how to build great products with user-centered focus.
• Experience operating in a matrix with competing stakeholders and incomplete information.
• Clear written and verbal communication with senior business leaders and ability to make recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Identify AI opportunities with potential for significant enterprise value and de-risk bets through research and analysis.
• Stack-rank opportunities by strategic alignment, value, feasibility, risk, cost, and speed to value with a robust scoring model.
• Develop business cases, investment theses, value realization models, and roadmaps with data-backed support.
• Assess buy/build/partner/hybrid paths and flag duplicate investments across teams.
• Define success metrics and measurement instrumentation before work begins.
• Retire or reframe AI work that no longer delivers investment increments.
