Job summary

Mercedes-Benz USA (MBUSA) in Atlanta, GA seeks an AI Solutions Engineer to lead the technical lifecycle of priority AI use cases, partnering with business and IT teams to deliver secure, scalable production solutions.

You will design, develop, deploy, and monitor AI-enabled applications across Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud environments while collaborating with cybersecurity, data protection, and DevSecOps teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Nine or more years of software, platform, cloud, integration, or solution engineering experience, including recent hands-on delivery of AI-enabled solutions.
• Practical experience with large language models, generative AI, RAG, prompt and evaluation techniques, and cloud AI services on Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
• Strong programming skills in Java, Python, and/or TypeScript/JavaScript.
• Experience with APIs, microservices, identity and access controls, CI/CD, containers, observability, and enterprise integration patterns.
• Preferred: experience in forward-deployed, embedded, consulting, enablement, or customer-facing engineering roles.
• Knowledge of responsible AI, AI governance, cybersecurity, data protection, model evaluation, third-party risk, and human-in-the-loop controls.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical lifecycle of priority AI use cases—from discovery and feasibility through architecture, development, production deployment, adoption, monitoring, and continuous improvement.
• Translate business needs into secure, scalable solution designs and production implementations with defined owners and success metrics.
• Build AI-enabled applications, agents, retrieval-augmented generation solutions, integrations, APIs, and automated workflows across Azure, AWS, SaaS, and hybrid environments.
• Develop reusable architecture patterns and CI/CD controls that accelerate delivery across teams.
• Provide hands-on technical guidance and conduct architecture reviews, code walkthroughs, and workshops to upskill internal teams.
