Job summary

Amentum is seeking an AI Solutions Architect to lead the operational backbone of the AI Center of Excellence. You will own JANUS, coordinate lighthouse deliveries, and ensure timely execution against charters and governance.

The role bridges business demand, technical architecture, and program management in a hybrid arrangement with Reston, VA and the broader COE. This senior position requires strong architecture judgment, executive stakeholder skills, and hands-on cloud experience across Azure,

Qualifications

• 5+ years in AI/data program architecture or enterprise solution delivery.
• Bachelor's degree required; Master's preferred for advanced roles.
• Experience operating enterprise AI/data intake or portfolio systems.
• Hands-on knowledge of AI/ML solution architecture and data pipelines.
• Cloud experience with Azure (preferred), AWS or GCP acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Own JANUS operation for COE intake, triage, prioritization and lifecycle tracking.
• Translate business problems into AI solution architectures and reusable patterns.
• Support GenAI integration and hand-off into workflows.
• Coordinate lighthouse charter execution and surface blockers to leadership.
• Maintain COE decision log and Council package readiness monthly.
• Collaborate with Forward Deployed Engineers during platform buildout.
• Maintain alignment between two-cloud posture: Azure Commercial and Azure Government.
