Job summary

Amentum is seeking an AI Solutions Architect to lead JANUS operations and coordinate AI pilot/lighthouse delivery across the COE and operating-group spokes. The role requires bridging business demand, technical architecture, and governance to ensure timely, board-ready outcomes.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in AI/data program architecture, strong cloud experience (Azure/AWS/GCP), and US citizenship. Hybrid work with Reston, VA office is expected.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in AI/data program architecture, AI portfolio management, or enterprise solution delivery; Bachelor’s required.
• Experience operating an enterprise intake/portfolio system for AI/data initiatives.
• Working knowledge of AI/ML solution architecture, data pipelines, and integration patterns.
• Hands-on with cloud platforms (Azure preferred; AWS/GCP acceptable).

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day JANUS operation for COE intake, triage, prioritization, and lifecycle tracking of AI use cases.
• Translate business problems into technical AI solution architectures and reusable patterns.
• Support GenAI integration and deployment into mission and enterprise workflows.
• Coordinate lighthouse charter execution with spoke leads and COE leadership.
• Maintain COE decision log and Council package readiness monthly.
• Partner with Forward Deployed Engineers during platform buildout and ensure transfer to internal owners.
• Maintain alignment between COE two-cloud posture (Azure Commercial for COE, Azure Government for customer programs).
