Job summary

Techstack is seeking a Senior AI Solutions Architect / Forward-Deployed AI Engineer to join the centralized Data & AI team. You will design and build AI-enabled solutions across multiple business units, embedding with stakeholders to deliver deterministic automation and probabilistic AI where value is created.

The role focuses on finance, tax automation, and data-intensive workflows, combining data platforms, LLMs, and enterprise software to production-ready solutions.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience designing AI-enabled applications and integrating LLMs into business workflows.
• Strong software engineering skills and the ability to build functional prototypes.
• Experience designing end-to-end technical solutions, not just isolated AI components.
• Proven experience working directly with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate processes into technical specs.

Responsibilities

• Run business and technical discovery with business leaders and subject matter experts; document current-state and future-state workflows.
• Turn ambiguous business needs into clear functional and technical requirements.
• Decide whether a problem needs traditional engineering, deterministic automation, an LLM, an agentic workflow, or a hybrid.
• Design end-to-end solutions combining enterprise data, business logic, automation, and AI, scalable from prototype to production.
• Build prototypes, proofs of concept, and initial versions of AI-enabled applications, iterating on stakeholder feedback.
• Select models (Gemini, Claude, GPT) based on use case and avoid dependency on a single provider.
• Keep critical calculations deterministic, and use LLMs for classification, interpretation, summarization and analysis with validation.
• Work with Data Engineers to define data requirements and implement the AI layer that consumes them.
• Support finance and tax automation: US tax return preparation, global minimum tax, country-by-country reporting, data consolidation.
• Build document classification and AI-assisted analytics; compare results with historical data and detect anomalies.
• Help stakeholders define measurable AI use cases and contribute reusable patterns to the Data & AI function.
