Role and Team

Citeline is one of the world's leading providers of data and intelligence on clinical trials, drug treatments, medical devices and regulatory and commercial developments. Within this organization, Citeline plays a key role in helping clients connect the dots from pipeline to patient. You will join a global team of analysts, journalists and consultants who cover key diseases, clinical trials, drug R&D and approvals, market forecasts and more. You will work with Sales and Implementation to deliver AI-enabled solutions that accelerate clinical trial strategy, planning and execution.

Responsibilities
  • Provide subject matter expertise on client calls to demonstrate the value of Clinical Solutions combining platform, AI analytics, services and Real World Data (RWD) offerings to support use cases across the clinical lifecycle including planning, feasibility, and patient engagement and recruitment.
  • Bring technical and business credibility to AI conversations with clients, translating complex AI concepts into clear, value-driven narratives aligned to clinical trial objectives.
  • Identify and qualify AI use cases across clinical trial planning, feasibility, and recruitment, collaborating with Product to rapidly validate and formalize them into the roadmap.
  • Provide AI solutioning support on strategic customer engagements to develop custom instances and bespoke solutions, leveraging Citeline data assets, AI models, products and services.
  • Act as a subject matter expert in Citeline’s AI solutions, including understanding the data powering them, development methodologies, and validation processes.
  • Lead client discovery sessions to uncover unmet needs and propose AI-enabled solutions that accelerate trial timelines and improve patient engagement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to pilot and refine AI solutions, ensuring clinical relevance, technical feasibility, and measurable impact.
  • Collaborate with and support dedicated Sales teams across all account segments (new logos, existing accounts small biotech through large pharma).
  • Accountable for attributing deals towards the team’s sales targets as set forth by the business.
  • Independently manage a solution/technical qualification with a compelling proposal slide creation that results in new business.
  • Responsible for creating and presenting analysis of Citeline Connect solution to customers as part of the consultative sale/value analysis.
  • Support additional pre-sales activities needed to support Sales including building business cases and executive summaries, presenting use case and therapy area relevant case studies, collaborating with sales on pricing and negotiations, understanding and conveying project implementation activities and timelines, creating and delivering proposals and contracts.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders such as Citeline’s Product Management and Sales teams to share feedback from client interactions and strive for continuous improvements in Citeline’s AI offering to BioPharma.
  • Manage the coordination internally with the implementation team for pre-sales scoping and for RFI/RFP processes.
  • Test new clinical offerings with several potential clients and share feedback to internal stakeholders to drive innovation and ensure product-market fit in highly complex selling situations.
  • Utilize Citeline’s Salesforce CRM system to document all pre-sales support activities.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years experience in working in clinical trial relevant business either CRO, trial recruitment, consulting, or within a biopharmaceutical company.
  • A passion for healthcare, life sciences, data / analytics, AI and technology.
  • Proven experience identifying AI use cases in clinical or life sciences settings and supporting them through to proof-of-concept or pilot stage.
  • Strong understanding of data science principles, including machine learning, natural language processing, and predictive analytics, with the ability to translate these into business value.
  • Hands-on experience working with AI-powered platforms or tools in a healthcare or clinical trial context.
  • Ability to critically assess AI model performance, data quality, and validation approaches to ensure clinical and regulatory robustness.
  • Track record of collaborating with product and engineering teams to shape AI solution development based on client needs and market trends.
  • Working knowledge of the global Pharmaceutical industry in particular Clinical Trial Recruitment.
  • Highly competent from a technical perspective with a strong track record for demonstrating and presenting solutions to clinical operations and similar clients at Pharmaceutical & Biotech customers.
  • Experience collaborating with commercial teams and other key internal departments.
  • Ability to engage senior stakeholders confidently and credibly.
  • Curiosity to learn the Pharma industry and our products, staying abreast of AI developments for credible client conversations.
  • Ability to articulate complex solutions in a simple and coherent manner.
  • Powerful verbal and written communication; experience with customer-facing presentations.
  • Customer-oriented and results-driven; willing to travel as needed.

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $130,000 to $160,000. It is not typical for offers to be made at or near the top of the range. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. In addition to base salary and a competitive benefits package, successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus.
