Job summary

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Senior AI Software Developer to modernize air traffic management systems for a federal client. You will architect, develop, and deliver software within a SAFe Agile environment, focusing on AI-assisted development and data-driven practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a technical discipline.
• 8+ years of software development, or 6+ with Master's.
• Experience designing and supporting microservices architectures.
• Strong programming in Java, Python, C++, or similar on Linux.
• Exposure to AI-enabled apps, ML, AI-assisted development tools.
• Experience in Agile environments; REST APIs and distributed systems.
• Ability to obtain Public Trust clearance and pass screenings.

Responsibilities

• Lead sprint planning to align priorities and goals.
• Mentor development teams and promote best practices.
• Design and deliver microservices-based applications.
• Collaborate within a SAFe Agile framework with stakeholders.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and continuous improvement.

• Deliver high-quality, maintainable code under DevSecOps standards.
• Contribute to architectural decisions and technical strategy.
• Build integrations via APIs with databases and services.
• Work with QA/DevOps for stable software delivery.
• Implement automated testing strategies (unit/integration/contract/e2e).
• Leverage AI-powered tools to boost coding efficiency and testing.
