Job summary

Guidehouse is seeking a Lead AI Software Engineer to guide federal clients in building scalable, secure AI-enabled web apps on AWS. You will lead design and deployment across frontend ReactJS and backend Java/Python, integrating data models, APIs, and analytics while maintaining accessibility and security standards.

You will work with cross-functional teams in a SAFe environment, mentor engineers, and drive DevSecOps practices with SAST/DAST/SCA.

Qualifications

• Active PUBLIC TRUST or ability to obtain PUBLIC TRUST required.
• Bachelor’s degree in CS, Engineering, Data Science, or equivalent.
• Minimum 6 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Expert-level proficiency in Java or Python for backend development.
• Strong hands-on experience with ReactJS for frontend development.
• Experience building AWS-based full-stack web applications with APIs, orchestration, and DB layers.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture, design, and implementation of AI-enabled full-stack apps on AWS.
• Develop frontend ReactJS, backend Java/Python, APIs, orchestration, and relational DB layers.
• Design accessible web interfaces compliant with Section 508.
• Architect data models using PostgreSQL/MySQL/Aurora for transactional/analytic use.
• Build workflow and automation capabilities to support operations.
• Develop data visualization and analytics features for decision-making.
• Lead implementation of AI-enabled features like intelligent search and chatbots.
• Use Generative AI–assisted coding tools to accelerate development while ensuring security.
• Operate in a SAFe environment with agile release trains and cross-team coordination.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines with security scanning and automated testing.
