Job summary

Harvard Business School IT is seeking a Senior Application Analyst, AI Operations to ensure reliable, secure, and well-supported AI services for faculty, learners, and staff.

You will collaborate with IT teams and vendors to implement service plans, monitor health and adoption, lead incident response, and translate operational needs into sustainable processes that advance HBS’s mission. This hybrid role requires onsite presence in Boston three days a week.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years’ post-secondary education or relevant work experience.
• Experience administering and supporting enterprise AI services and SaaS platforms.
• Experience testing, documenting, and implementing connectors, APIs, or Model Context Protocol servers.
• Knowledge of identity and access management, authentication, and data access controls.
• Experience coordinating major incident resolution with vendors and internal teams.
• Experience managing service plans, roadmaps, rollouts, upgrades, and lifecycles.
• Ability to use dashboards and service data to monitor adoption and performance.
• Experience with software licensing, procurement, inventory, and renewals.
• Strong collaboration across technical and business teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Administer the AI services lifecycle including provisioning and access.
• Act as liaison between the AI Operations and AI Strategy teams.
• Implement service plans, roadmaps, and lifecycle activities.
• Test and document connectors between platforms and Model Context Protocol.
• Monitor health, adoption, and performance via dashboards.
• Coordinate AI rollouts, upgrades, and migrations.
• Provide SME guidance on AI service operations.
• Diagnose and resolve incidents, including major incidents with vendors.
• Create and maintain operational docs and knowledge base.
• Support security reviews, risk assessments, and responsible AI practices.
• Assist with licensing, inventory, renewals, and vendor coordination.
• Identify risks and contribute to backlog prioritization.
• Build trust by being on site and collaborating with colleagues.
• Complete other responsibilities as assigned.
