Job summary

NTT DATA AIVista, Inc. seeks a Principal Security Engineer to own security across AI products, cloud environments, and our compliance programs. You will set the standard for what secure means and drive security initiatives across a fast-growing enterprise.

This role is hands-on at first — architecture, threat modeling, and security engineering — with the opportunity to build and lead a small security team as the company scales.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in security engineering and product security
• Hands-on in threat modeling and secure design reviews
• Strong cloud security expertise (AWS/Azure/GCP)
• Experience securing AI/ML or agentic systems
• Directing SOC 2 and ISO 27001 programs and audits
• Experience owning incident response and security risk management
• Excellent communication with engineers, executives, customers, and auditors
• Startup agility with the ability to build and lead a security team

Responsibilities

• Lead secure design reviews and threat modeling for AI products and multi-agent systems.
• Define security architecture and secure-by-design standards for AI agents and sandboxing.
• Embed security into the product lifecycle with secure SDLC, code review, and dependency management.
• Build or introduce security tooling and guardrails to scale product security.
• Own cloud security architecture and posture across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.
• Define IT/DevOps security standards and monitoring requirements.
• Lead threat detection, posture management, and remediation across clouds.
• Own the company security program, risk register, and security policies.
• Direct SOC 2 and ISO 27001 programs and audits.
• Oversee vendor security reviews and compliance tooling like Vanta.
• Hire, mentor, and lead a security team and represent security to executives and customers
