Amazon is seeking an Applied Scientist to lead AI/ML features within the Sponsored Products Bidding team in Seattle. You will shape the long-term science vision, translate needs into plans for researchers, engineers, and product teams, and drive impact across advertising products.

Qualifications

• 3+ years building ML models for business applications
• PhD or MS with 6+ years of applied research experience
• Experience programming in Java, C++, Python
• Experience with neural deep learning methods and AI/ML technologies

Responsibilities

• Lead AI/ML based features for SPB bidding
• Be the technical AI/ML leader across teams
• Analyze large datasets to improve traffic monetization and merchandise sales
• Drive end-to-end AI/ML projects from concept to production
• Build models, run experiments, deploy in production
• Run A/B experiments and statistical analysis
• Establish scalable data analysis and model validation processes
• Research new AI/ML approaches
• Recruit Applied Scientists and mentor
