Job summary

Intuit is seeking a Senior AI Scientist for its Fintech Risk AI/ML SMS team in Mountain View to detect and prevent fraud and financial risk across Money Movement events. You will lead end-to-end data science initiatives, from hypothesis through deployment, using state-of-the-art statistical models and ML techniques.

The role emphasizes collaboration with engineers and business stakeholders, applying generative AI methods and large-scale data to deliver actionable insights and measurable risk

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 6+ years of experience developing predictive models and statistical analysis in financial services or risk management.
• Proficiency in Python, R, or Scala and data manipulation/visualization tools.
• Expertise in GLM, logistic regression, decision trees, time-series forecasting and ML algorithms.
• Experience with Generative AI techniques (autoencoders, GANs, VAEs).
• ETL processes, data warehousing, and cloud-based computing platforms.
• Excellent communication skills for presenting data to non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and customer-centric problem-solving.
• Experience with supervised and unsupervised ML techniques.
• Experience with graph data and insight extraction.
• Expertise with Spark for data manipulation and ML feature creation.

Responsibilities

• Provides guidance and support leadership to business leaders on data harnessing for critical needs.
• Leads full cycle of iterative big data exploration: hypothesis, modeling, cleansing, testing, insights, action planning.
• Collaborates with data engineers, database managers, and analysts to design research strategy for structuring and validating data-driven insights.
• Applies predictive statistical modeling on diverse data sources to extract insights for business problems.
• Translates findings into actionable guidance for stakeholders.
