Job summary

Ivo AI Inc in San Francisco invites applications for a research-focused AI role. You will own the research roadmap, design experiments, and ship winning approaches into production alongside the engineering team.

We look for a Ph.D. in a quantitative field or equivalent research track record, with deep learning experience (LLMs) and proficiency in PyTorch/JAX/TensorFlow. You will push the state of the art while emphasizing reliability and practical impact.

Qualifications

• PhD in a quantitative field or equivalent research track record.
• Evidence of exceptional ability (papers, shipped systems, etc.).
• Deep learning experience focused on LLMs and AI research.
• Proficiency with PyTorch, JAX, or TensorFlow.
• Strong communication to explain complex results to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Bias toward delivering working prototypes over perfect plans.

Responsibilities

• Own research roadmap end-to-end from problem to production.
• Advance core AI platform with long-context reasoning and information extraction.
• Develop evaluation infrastructure and benchmarks for model performance.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Product to ship prototypes to production.
• Ensure model trustworthiness, grounding, and robust evaluation.
