Job summary

Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) Labs is seeking a Senior AI Researcher for the Emergent Machine Intelligence group. You will drive original, publication-driven research at the intersection of AI, quantum computing, and physics-inspired ML.

The role demands broad, autonomous research with a track record of publishing at NeurIPS/ICML/ICLR and strong mathematical understanding. Hybrid work and collaboration across disciplines are expected.

Qualifications

• PhD in Computer Science, AI, ML, Physics, Mathematics, or related fields.
• 5+ years’ experience post PhD; strong research record.
• Publish in NeurIPS/ICML/ICLR or similar venues.
• Broad knowledge of AI/ML literature beyond a single model family.
• Deep mathematical understanding of modern ML methods.
• Excellent experimental skills and rapid prototyping.
• Strong Python and PyTorch proficiency; experience with research codebases.

Responsibilities
