Job summary

Archer Aviation in Silicon Valley is seeking a skilled AI/ML researcher to design, implement, and evaluate autonomous systems, trajectory prediction, and perception models for our next-gen air mobility platform.

You will collaborate with research engineers, prototype and validate solutions from academic literature, run experiments in simulated environments, and help transition research into production-ready systems. A Master’s degree and expertise in PyTorch or TensorFlow are required.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in AI/CS/Engineering or related field.
• Proficient with PyTorch or TensorFlow and able to debug AI models.
• Understanding of Transformer architectures, attention mechanisms, and multimodal models.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and evaluate novel ML/deep learning algorithms for autonomy, trajectory prediction, and perception.
• Iterate on predictive/decision-making model development from data needs to deployment.
• Collaborate with research engineers to prototype/validate solutions from academic literature.
• Conduct experiments to benchmark techniques in dynamic/simulated environments.
• Develop tools to support scalable and reproducible research.
• Communicate research findings to leadership concisely.
• Stay current with Autonomy and Generative AI developments to identify innovations.
• Assist in transitioning research prototypes into production-ready systems.
