Job summary

EggAI is hiring a senior software engineer to build and operate production systems central to client engagements. You will own end-to-end delivery, from architecture discussions to post-production monitoring, in a remote EU & UK setting.

The role requires 10+ years building production systems, production AI experience, and strong skills in Python and JavaScript/TypeScript, with cloud and container experience.

Qualifications

• 10+ years designing, building and maintaining production systems.
• Experience in Production AI systems.
• Owned code in production and can diagnose live issues.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems concepts.
• Proficient in database design, queries, and migrations.
• Rigorous testing, instrumentation, CI/CD, and incremental shipping.
• Ability to communicate with non-engineers and business stakeholders.
• Proficient in Python; works with TypeScript/JavaScript.
• Experience with cloud platforms and containerisation.

Responsibilities

• Build and operate production systems end-to-end for client engagements.
• Lead architecture discussions with the team and client input.
• Own the delivery including post-production monitoring and fixes.
• Collaborate with client engineers and project/product managers.
• Participate in daily standups, planning, retrospectives, and reviews.
