Job summary

Harnham is seeking a Senior AI Product Engineer for Agentic System & Production AI in the Bay Area. Hybrid work with 3 days in office; you will build autonomous AI agents and end-to-end systems across LLMs, APIs, orchestration, and applications.

You will own the lifecycle—from prompting and evaluation to debugging and scaling—driving production-ready solutions and tangible outcomes for enterprise workflows. Equity is included.

Qualifications

• 4–8 years as a backend or full-stack engineer.
• Experience shipping production AI or agent-based systems.
• Hands-on experience with LLMs in real products.
• Solid foundation in system design and distributed systems.
• Experience evaluating and improving AI performance.
• High ownership mindset in fast-moving environments.
• Ability to clearly explain technical decisions and tradeoffs.

Responsibilities

• Build AI agents that act autonomously across real workflows.
• Develop end-to-end systems across LLMs, APIs, orchestration, and applications.
• Own the full lifecycle: prompting, evaluation, debugging, and scaling.
• Turn ambiguous problems into structured, production-ready solutions.
• Partner with product to deliver outcomes, not just features.
• Continuously improve systems through testing and iteration.
