Job summary

Certivo in Seattle is seeking a Senior Full-Stack Engineer to advance our AI-powered platform. You will design and ship end-to-end features, from backend services to user interfaces, collaborating with a small senior team that emphasizes pragmatic, production-ready code.

Your work will push accuracy and reduce costs, tackle open-ended problems like news scraping and voice interactions, and improve data pipelines, REST APIs, and data models while maintaining strong testing and code review

Qualifications

• 5+ years building production web apps in Node.js and TypeScript.
• Proven frontend experience with modern web frameworks (React preferred).
• Microservices design, operation, and failure modes (retries, idempotency, observability).
• Experience with workflow orchestration engines (Temporal, Airflow, or similar).
• Hands-on Docker: authoring Dockerfiles and running multi-service stacks locally.
• Production AWS or cloud infrastructure experience, including deploying, operating, and debugging cloud services.
• Strong database fundamentals, especially SQL: schema design, query design and optimization, indexing, migrations, transactions, and ORM tradeoffs.
• Real experience with LLM-powered features: agentic workflows, prompt design, and evaluation.
• Fluency with AI coding tools (Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Superset, Devin) as a daily driver.

Responsibilities

• Shape scope, UX, and technical approach alongside the team from the start.
• Ship new AI capabilities end-to-end: design an agent or extraction pipeline, implement, eval, and deploy to customers.
• Improve accuracy, reduce cost, increase autonomy, and support new document types.
• Tackle open-ended problems like news-scraping and voice agents with unclear initial paths.
• Build backend and product surfaces: APIs, data models, services, and occasional UI.
• Raise quality standards with evals, tests, and code review practices.
