Job summary

Float is Toronto-based and is hiring a Senior Corporate Engineering & AI Systems Engineer to build the internal platform that enables Floater-scale automation. You will own the harness, the platform, and the background agents, delivering secure, auditable systems for fintech operations.

You’ll collaborate with Security and Risk, ship features quickly, and turn complex workflows into reliable automation with measurable cost controls.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software engineering, including internal platforms or tools.
• 1–2+ years building LLM-powered systems in production.
• Strong production Python and/or TypeScript experience.
• Knowledge of agentic systems and orchestration.

Responsibilities

• Build the harness and secure connectors to enterprise tools.
• Ship background agents with multi-step workflows end-to-end.
• Develop the skills-sharing layer to scale automation.
• Embed with teams to map workflows and define evals.
• Own governance with Security and Risk, including access controls and guardrails.
