Qualifications

• 12+ years in software/platform engineering or data science.
• 3+ years in engineering management or technical leadership overseeing AI initiatives.
• Proven experience building and scaling distributed systems or cloud platforms.
• Strong backend, APIs, infrastructure or platform architecture background.
• Hands-on experience with AI/ML platforms, LLM integrations, data science methodologies.
• Experience with vector databases, semantic search, feature stores, data science pipelines.
• Strong project management with cross-functional delivery.
• Excellent communication and collaboration with exec stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead the engineering and data science roadmap for the AI Platform.
• Partner with product, data science, research, and engineering teams to define requirements for capabilities.
• Design and implement core platform services including API gateways and pipelines.
• Oversee integrations with third-party tools and internal data science services.
• Guide best practices in cloud-native development, distributed computing, observability, and security.
• Manage, mentor, and grow a high-performing team of backend engineers and data scientists.
• Ensure alignment between platform capabilities and evolving needs from AI product lines.
• Drive technical excellence through code/design reviews and reliability practices.
• Contribute to long-term vision of agentic, data-science-powered workflows at scale.
