Job summary

Cisco Systems, Inc is seeking a Senior Technical Lead to own the architectural direction of our distributed AI platform, ensuring secure, scalable identity, multi-tenancy, and end-to-end technical execution across teams.

You will define specifications, decompose complex designs, and lead remediation and triage efforts while mentoring senior engineers to elevate the platform’s maturity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field with 12+ years of experience, or equivalent combination.
• 7+ years building distributed backend microservices in production.
• 4+ years implementing enterprise auth (OAuth 2.0/OIDC, JWT, mTLS).
• Experience with AI SDLC and code-gen tools for AI development.
• Experience with LLM orchestration, agentic runtimes, or MCP servers.
• Kubernetes deployment with secret management and tracing (OpenTelemetry).

Responsibilities

• Own architectural direction and cross-service execution for distributed AI platform.
• Write end-to-end technical specs and decompose designs into workstreams.
• Harden service-to-service communications with cryptographic identity and zero-trust.
• Lead CVE remediation and production triage for stability and security.
• Mentor senior engineers to raise technical maturity.
