Job summary

TeamViewer in Austin, TX, is seeking a senior engineer to build and operate data and AI platform services for AI-powered products. You will develop data pipelines, ingest and index data, and manage production model infrastructure to ensure scalability and reliability.

You will drive MLOps practices, CI/CD automation, monitoring, and cost controls while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver robust production systems that meet security and governance standards.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering or data platform experience, with strong Python skills and solid SQL knowledge.
• Proven experience building production-grade data pipelines, platform services, or AI infrastructure.
• Hands-on experience with AI or ML systems in production, including retrieval pipelines, embeddings, vector databases, or model deployment.
• Strong understanding of MLOps, LLMOps, CI/CD, automated testing, monitoring, and observability practices.
• Experience optimizing production systems for performance, reliability, scalability, and cost efficiency.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms, with Azure or GCP experience preferred.
• Solid understanding of data governance, security, privacy, and compliance requirements.
• Experience using AI‑assisted development tools while maintaining high standards for code quality, security, and maintainability.
• Strong problem-solving skills, clear communication and the ability to collaborate across global teams.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain the data and AI platform services that support TeamViewer’s AI-powered products.
• Develop data pipelines, retrieval systems, indexing, and infrastructure for AI workloads.
• Operate production model infrastructure, including deployment, versioning, routing, caching, and cost controls.
• Build monitoring and observability capabilities for AI systems, including performance, quality, latency, and cost tracking.
• Support CI/CD practices for AI systems, ensuring changes can be tested, deployed, monitored, and rolled back safely.
• Maintain evaluation infrastructure to help teams measure quality, identify regressions, and support release decisions.
• Ensure data quality, security, privacy, governance, and access controls across structured and unstructured data sources.
• Collaborate with AI engineers, software engineers, product, security, and platform teams to deliver reliable production systems.
