Job summary

JPMorgan Chase is seeking a Senior Lead Software Engineer to advance the AI/ML Platform Engineering Team. You will design, build, and scale robust ML platforms enabling data scientists to train, deploy, and monitor models securely and efficiently.

You will drive end-to-end platform solutions, lead cross-functional collaborations, and promote enterprise-best practices for rapid ML delivery and reliability across the firm.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience.
• Hands-on experience building, deploying, and maintaining ML platforms or infrastructure.
• Advanced in Python and one or more ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn).
• Experience with data processing frameworks and tools (e.g., Spark, Pandas, SQL).
• Practical experience with cloud-based ML platforms or on-prem ML infrastructure.
• Strong understanding of MLOps, CI/CD for ML, model versioning and monitoring.
• Experience developing APIs and platform services for ML workflows.
• Proficient in SDLC and Agile methodologies; collaboration across teams.

Responsibilities

• Designs, builds, and maintains scalable ML platforms and infrastructure to support end-to-end ML workflows.
• Develops and optimizes tools for model training, deployment, monitoring, and lifecycle management.
• Integrates data engineering, feature management, and model serving into unified ML platform solutions.
• Implements secure, high-quality production code for platform services, APIs, and automation pipelines.
• Leads evaluation sessions with data scientists, ML engineers, and product teams to understand requirements.
• Ensures platform reliability, scalability, and performance through monitoring and continuous improvement.
• Produces architecture and design artifacts for platform components aligned with enterprise standards.
• Automates infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and CI/CD for ML platform services.
• Contributes to the ML platform engineering community of practice and participates in events.
• Drives team adoption of enterprise AI-assisted engineering practices to improve quality and delivery.
