Job summary

Relativity, a leading legal data intelligence company, is seeking an Advanced AI Engineer in Illinois to bridge core engineering and data science teams. You will design ML/AI platforms, automate training pipelines, deployments, and model lifecycle management in production.

You will collaborate with data scientists, product managers, security teams, and data engineers to deliver scalable, secure AI solutions on cloud platforms, using modern MLOps practices and IaC tooling.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience, incl. ML/AI or big data environments.
• Proficiency in Python, Java, or C#.
• Production experience using Docker.
• Experience deploying cloud-based solutions on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience using infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or Pulumi.
• Familiarity with workflow orchestration platforms like Prefect or Airflow.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to design and implementation of scalable ML/AI platforms focusing on reliability and security.
• Collaborate with data scientists, product managers, security teams, and data engineers to deliver ML solutions.
• Implement and improve CI/CD pipelines for ML models and data workflows using IaC and containers.
• Build and enhance automated model training, deployment, and lifecycle management processes.
• Prototype and evaluate emerging MLOps technologies to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
• Deploy, monitor, tune, and troubleshoot production ML models.
• Establish and track health, performance, reliability, and cost metrics for AI systems.
• Mentor junior engineers and share best practices across teams.
