Job description

Job Title: Senior AI Platform Engineer

The Senior AI Platform Engineer is responsible for the technical design, development, and implementation of a comprehensive and scalable Generative AI platform for UC Riverside's faculty, staff, and students.

Responsibilities include:

1. Leading the development of AI-driven microservices for university-wide application integration.
2. Developing campus chatbots to interact with faculty, staff, students, prospective students, and the campus community.
3. Providing expert technical guidance and mentorship on generative AI best practices.
4. Establishing and maintaining robust AI/ML Ops pipelines for efficient model deployment and management.
5. Serving as a technical subject matter expert to ensure the platform's architecture meets university requirements.

Information Technology Solutions (ITS) is recruiting for two (2) positions. Both are primarily remote with occasional campus visits. Working hours are based on Pacific Standard Time (PST).

The full salary range is $90,400 - $169,000 annually, with an expected pay scale up to $135,000. Salary offers depend on education, experience, certifications, and organizational needs.
