Job summary

Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. (AMD) is building an AI-native software platform to run autonomous hardware validation campaigns.

You will design and implement the LLM agent framework, RAG pipelines, MCP backend, and developer tooling that enable multi-agent orchestration at global scale. You will join the Global Cluster Engineering team as a core engineer, shaping firmware validation and network hardware tooling with a strong emphasis on reliability, observability, and secure, scalable systems.

Qualifications

• Production software experience with large-scale systems.
• Leadership experience in growing engineering teams and delivering multi-workstream projects.
• Genuine passion for AI-native software and real LLM-powered systems.
• Hands-on experience building RAG pipelines and vector databases.
• Proficiency in Python preferred for AI/ML ecosystem.
• Experience with async programming, API design, and distributed systems.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure and managed services for production workloads.
• Familiarity with AI tooling and LLM-powered developer tools.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain multi-agent orchestration layers and context management.
• Develop RAG pipelines with document ingestion, embedding, and hybrid search.
• Create intuitive web apps and developer experiences for interacting with AI agents.
• Build distributed services, APIs, and microservices powering AI workflows.
• Develop scalable AI services for metadata generation and knowledge retrieval.
• Create LLM-powered tooling for automated testing, failure triage, and knowledge curation.
• Deploy agentic AI solutions across hardware validation operations.
• Collaborate with validation engineers and hardware teams to translate requirements into software.
