Job summary

KBR, a leader in national security solutions, seeks a Sr Systems Engineer to influence strategic direction, architecture and program delivery within the IC and DoD landscape. You will collaborate with government and private-sector partners to shape AI strategy and high-impact defense systems architectures.

You will communicate complex technical topics to senior audiences, produce multi-format deliverables, and operate in a fast-paced, on-site Maryland environment with limited travel.

Qualifications

• Clearance: Active TS/SCI with polygraph.
• Education: BS + 12–15 years or MS + 10–13 years; may possess a Doctorate.
• Writing: Draft products with strong writing and grammatical skills.
• AI: Expert knowledge of Artificial Intelligence.
• Data integration: Expert knowledge of data integration complexities.
• Analysis: Strong analytical competence, problem-solving, communication and organizational skills.
• Communication: Provide audience-appropriate written and verbal communications.
• Collaboration: Work with seniors in a fast-paced, multi-task environment.
• Deliverables: Produce deliverables in multiple formats (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Acrobat, etc).
• Architecture/Design: Support AI strategy, implementation plans and policies.

Responsibilities

• Strategic Planning: Support sponsor’s strategic direction and priorities.
• Performance Management: Ensure strategy is pursued using best practices and benchmarking.
• Enterprise Architecture: Foundational knowledge related to technical collection and IC portfolio.
• Portfolio Experience: Track IC Portfolio of Technical Investments strategies and targets.
• Strategic Foresight: Recommend strategies, roadmaps, risks, gaps, dependencies; align with priorities.
• Liaison: Lead discussions with IC program managers, DoD partners, and private sector on capabilities.
• Collaboration: Assist government clients with schedules and reports to executives.
• Communication: Explain technical topics to senior-level audiences.
