Job summary

DigitalOcean is seeking a Senior Solutions Architect II to join our strategic accounts team, focusing on AI/ML and GPU-based cloud solutions. In this customer-facing role, you will design scalable cloud architectures and guide customers through cloud adoption, positioning DigitalOcean as the preferred cloud partner for AI/ML workloads.

You will lead pre-sales engagements, deep dives, and workshops with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful cloud solutions and drive customer success.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of Solutions Architecture, Technical Consulting, or Software Engineering experience with a track record in pre-sales and solution strategy.
• Deep expertise in AI/ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch) and platforms like Hugging Face, with hands-on experience deploying and fine-tuning LLMs.
• Strong knowledge of Kubernetes, Linux, distributed systems, NFS, Object Storage, and GPU software ecosystems (CUDA, ROCm).
• Hands-on experience with DevOps tools (Docker, Terraform, CI/CD pipelines) and modern cloud-native practices.
• Excellent communication skills and proven ability to lead complex technical engagements from discovery through post-deployment success.

Responsibilities

• Act as a trusted technical advisor for strategic accounts and partners, guiding them through AI/ML and GPU-based workload optimization.
• Design, present, and implement scalable cloud architectures, modernization strategies, and AI solutions tailored to customer needs.
• Lead technical deep dives, workshops, proof-of-concepts, and executive briefings to accelerate cloud adoption.
• Demonstrate expertise in AI/ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Hugging Face) and optimize workloads using inference engines like vLLM, SGLang, and TensorRT.
• Collaborate with Sales, Technical Account Management, Product, Engineering, and Operations teams to deliver technical solutions and gather customer feedback for product improvements.
