Job summary

Google in Mountain View, CA is seeking a Senior Software Engineer, AI/ML in Labs Garage to design and implement scalable ML systems and collaborate with cross-functional teams. You will contribute to cutting-edge AI projects used by billions of users and have opportunities to switch teams as our fast-paced environment evolves.

As an engineer, you will write and test code, review designs, triage issues, and contribute to ML infrastructure and research efforts.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
5 years of software development experience in one or more languages.
3 years testing, maintaining, or launching software products, and 1 year in design/architecture.
3 years of experience with Speech/Audio, reinforcement learning, ML infrastructure, or related ML field.
3 years of experience with ML infrastructure (deployment, evaluation, data processing, debugging).

Responsibilities

Write and test product or system development code.
Collaborate with peers and stakeholders through design and code reviews to ensure best practices.
Contribute to existing documentation or educational content and adapt content with product updates and user feedback.
Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing impact on hardware, network, or service operations.
Design and implement solutions in one or more ML areas, leverage ML infrastructure, and demonstrate expertise.
