Job summary

Google is seeking a Senior Software Engineer in AI/ML, Core to join the Mountain View team. You will tackle large-scale problems spanning information retrieval, distributed computing, and infrastructure, with opportunities to switch teams as needed.

The role requires mid level experience, with strong Python or C++ coding, ML infrastructure expertise, and a track record in deploying or evaluating ML systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience programming in Python or C++.
• 3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products, and 1 year of experience with software design and architecture.
• 3 years of experience with ML infrastructure or specialization in ML fields.
• 3 years of experience with ML infrastructure (deployment, evaluation, data processing, debugging).

Responsibilities

• Write and test product or system development code.
• Collaborate with peers through design and code reviews to ensure best practices.
• Contribute to documentation and update content with product changes.
• Triage issues and debug/resolve impacts on hardware, network, or services.
• Design and implement ML solutions and leverage ML infrastructure.
