Job summary

LexisNexis Legal & Professional in the United States seeks a Senior Data Scientist to lead AI and ML model development. You will collaborate with data scientists and engineers to design, develop, and deploy advanced AI solutions that enhance data quality for end-user products.

You will guide junior team members, work with product leaders to align AI with business goals, and lead small to mid-sized teams while applying governance and best practices.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of relevant work experience with a Masters, or 6 years with a PhD.
• Advanced education in CS, Math, Statistics, or related field.
• Experience with large language models and transformer architectures like BERT, RoBERTa, T5.
• Experience with big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark, AWS).
• Experience applying LLMs (ChatGPT, GPT‑3.5, Claude, Mistral).
• Proven ability to lead and mentor data scientists and collaborate across teams.
• Strong ML background: deep learning, gradient boosting, random forests.
• Proficient in Python, R, or other data-analysis languages.
