Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a data-related technical field is required.
• 5+ years of AI/ML experience with production systems.
• Proficiency with TF, PyTorch, scikit-learn; strong Python with Pandas/NumPy.
• Experience deploying production AI systems at scale; on-prem infra knowledge.
• Familiarity with explainable AI (SHAP/LIME) and model interpretability.
• Knowledge of MLOps, CI/CD, versioning, and workflow orchestration.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DHS Public Trust clearance.
• Strong written and verbal communication for diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement production AI/ML systems compliant with federal governance.
• Develop explainable AI solutions with integrated human-in-the-loop oversight.
• Build ML models for investigative analytics: entity resolution, network analysis, anomaly detection.
• Develop scalable data pipelines and ETL using Airflow and Spark; on-premise infra.
• Design data models optimized for AI training, fine-tuning, and real-time inference.
• Document architecture, data flows, and model explanations for audits.
• Collaborate with software engineers, infra architects, and cybersecurity specialists.
• Communicate model decisions clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
