Job summary

DailyPay is seeking a Senior AI & ML Scientist to join our Data Science team in New York. You will build and maintain models that personalize the DailyPay product experience—from on-demand pay balance optimization to fraud controls—and contribute to production-grade ML and data infrastructure.

You will work hands-on to translate complex modeling work into measurable business impact, collaborating with product and engineering to deliver high-value solutions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Machine Learning experience in fintech, payments, or regulated domain.
• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in a quantitative field.
• Track record of shipping production models with measurable impact.
• Experience building and maintaining feature engineering pipelines with SQL and Python.
• End-to-end model deployment including data pipelines and monitoring.
• Experience owning models in production with financial/compliance consequences.
• Proficiency across modern AI, classical ML, stats and probabilistic methods.

Responsibilities

• Build, evaluate, deploy, monitor and improve ML models for personalization, decisions and fraud controls.
• Develop reliable data pipelines and features for model development and data infra.
• Collaborate with product and engineering; translate business questions into DS solutions.
• Communicate model results and tradeoffs to cross-functional partners.
