Job summary

Thomson Reuters Labs is seeking a Senior Research Engineer to advance AI/ML capabilities that transform how legal, tax, accounting, and government professionals work across the globe. You will join a global, interdisciplinary team in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, delivering data-driven products and features from research to production.

The role emphasizes developing scalable ML pipelines, applying modern software practices, collaborating with data scientists, and communicating effectively

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience.
• At least 5 years software engineering experience.
• At least 2 years working on a Machine Learning related product or solution.
• Deep understanding of Python software development stacks and ecosystems.
• Ability to write clean, reusable, maintainable and well-tested code.
• Track record of quickly adopting and applying emerging technologies to solve complex problems.
• Experience collaborating with applied data scientists to translate research work into production-ready solutions.
• Experience with cloud computing development.
• Experience with Agile Methodologies.
• Experience implementing CI/CD, DevOps, and SDLC concepts in application delivery.
• Experience integrating Machine Learning and Generative AI solutions into production-grade software; understanding of ModelOps and MLOps principles.
• Exposure to NLP problems and familiarity with tasks like NER, Information Extraction, Text classification, Summarization.
• Ability to translate between language and engineering methodologies.
