Job summary

Thomson Reuters Labs is seeking a Senior Research Engineer to develop and deliver scalable ML solutions and data-driven capabilities transforming workflows for legal, tax, accounting, government professionals worldwide.

You will join a global interdisciplinary team applying AI research across NLP and production ML, collaborating with data scientists to translate research into production-grade software and contribute to end-to-end delivery in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years of software engineering experience.
• At least 2 years working on an ML-related product or solution.
• Strong Python development experience and ecosystem familiarity.
• Experience collaborating with applied data scientists to translate research to production.
• Experience with cloud computing development and Agile methodologies.
• CI/CD, DevOps, and SDLC concepts in production delivery.
• Exposure to NLP problems like NER, Information Extraction, Information Retrieval, Text Classification, Summarization.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver: participate in the full software development lifecycle to build, test, and deliver high-quality solutions.
• Build scalable ML solutions: create large-scale data processing pipelines and develop high-performing systems for large online environments.
