Job summary

Allegis Group is seeking a Lead Developer - AI ML Recommendation to design and optimize AI-driven recommendation systems across Sales, Recruiting, and Marketing capabilities. You will lead the modernization of the platform, architect large-scale distributed systems, and mentor engineers while collaborating with product and data science teams.

The role requires deep ML experience, strong system design skills, and a track record of delivering scalable solutions in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience in software development.
• 5 years of experience building and deploying large-scale distributed systems with Java or Java-related technologies/frameworks.
• 3 years of experience leading ML/LLM design and optimizing ML infrastructure.
• 3 years of experience with software design and architecture.
• Proficiency in programming languages for large-scale and ML systems (Python/Java/Scala/Go).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Experience building deployment of recommendation system models preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead modernization of the recommendation platform using AI/ML techniques, including Agentic AI solutions.
• Architect and build large-scale, distributed systems for information retrieval and matching workflows.
• Apply ML and NLP methods to improve relevance and user experience.
• Own technical direction, translating business problems into designs and plans.
• Prototype, validate outcomes, and run experiments to inform decisions.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to align solutions with business priorities.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineers.
