Job summary

GE Aerospace in Dayton, OH is seeking a Sr Staff Data Scientist to lead AI/ML solutions that deliver value to Unison, a GE Aerospace business. You will translate customer requirements into impactful working systems and guide junior team members.

You will collaborate with Unison leaders to prioritize projects, ensure compatibility with IT and data systems, and champion Lean processes and FLIGHT DECK initiatives. The role requires strong analytics expertise and user-focused design.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years in Data Science or equivalent experience.
• Strong Python and ML experience with end-to-end project delivery.
• Experience communicating results to stakeholders and defining requirements.
• Familiarity with model deployment, version control and reproducibility.

Responsibilities

• Lead AI/ML projects and develop analytics solutions with demonstrable value.
• Mentor junior team members and define DS team roles.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into actionable work.
• Support Lean processes and FLIGHT DECK initiatives in practice.
